How do I register?
Can I compete in Thunderdome if I'm new to CrossFit?
Absolutely! Make sure you are familiar with all of the movements and have a clear understanding of what is expected in the workouts. Always ask your coach!
Is there a minimum age to compete at a Thunderdome?
We had to draw the line somewhere. Athletes must be at least 14 years of age on competition day. They must have a guardian accompany them to Athlete Check-in and sign their waiver to compete.
What division do I sign up for?
This is where you lean on your coach’s experience and check out the workouts ahead of time.
The scaled division is best if this is one of your first competition experiences.
The intermediate division is best if you have some of the basic functional fitness skills under your belt, like chin over bar pull-ups and box jumps.
The RX division is best if you complete all workouts as Rx.
When does registration close?
Registration to compete closes one week out from the competition date.
Can I get a refund of my registration fee?
We understand that stuff comes up and life interferes. Unfortunately, registration clearly states that all payments are final and there are no refunds, regardless of reason (injury, illness, change in work schedule, deployment, etc.).
However, if you’re more than one week out from the competition date, you may be able to transfer your registration to another Athlete.

The competition could start as early as 7AM. Please check your individual registration to confirm your check-in and start times. Your heat times will be emailed and listed online here.
Can we bring in food?
Athletes can bring in their nutritional needs in a personal size cooler. Alcohol is not permitted onsite.
Can we bring in a tent?
